Serbian Wrestling Cup Final

On Sunday, April 10th, the Serbian Wrestling Cup was held at the „Omni Center“ hall in Valjevo.

This was the first time in this format with a traveling trophy. The cup featured 130 wrestlers from 18 clubs, among them world champion Viktor Nemeš, European champion Mate Nemeš, Branko Kovačević, who won a bronze at the U23 World Championships, and other promising national team members such as Aleksa Ilić and Žarko Dickov.

The attendees were greeted by Mayor Lazar Gojković and Djordje Kalanović, president of the Wrestling Federation of Central Serbia. The tournament was officially opened by Davor Štefanek, president of the Sports Federation of Serbia and celebrated Olympian. The event was also attended by Olympian Damir Mikec. It’s important to note that the event was broadcast live by Arena Sport TV, a national frequency media house.
